Our ASME code fabrication division was started in 1995 and since that time has expanded to encompass a full range of specialty fabrication. We operate a 25,000 sq. ft. fabrication facility in Savannah, Georgia. It is our goal to work with you, our customer, from conception to installation and start-up to ensure that you have the most efficient, reliable, and economical operating equipment in your process area. MacAljon has the technical expertise, facilities, and equipment to make that happen.
We specialize in custom design and fabrication of heavy plate work. Some typical fabrication projects include:
Our size capabilities are limited primarily by the availability of suitable shipping methods to transport our fabrication. We have shipped up to 17 foot diameter vessels over the road and have utilized barges to ship even larger vessels, when necessary. Other vessels can be shipped partially assembled for erection and installation by our field service crews.
Heat exchanger shell sizes typically range from 6" diameter to 14" diameter. Tube sizes from 1/2" diameter to 2" diameter.
Materials of construction include:
MacAljon performs thermal and mechanical designs utilizing the most up to date computer modeling software to ensure that we are supplying the most efficient, cost effective exchanger or pressure vessel that complies with the most stringent current codes. We provide CAD designers to prepare all fabrication drawings after designs are complete. In addition we have licensed professional engineers on-staff to stamp drawings if requested by our customers. MacAljon maintains ASME S and U stamps for new fabrication and NBBI stamps for repairs of existing coded vessels.
